Add or edit text associated with the line 

Cable

Add bend

Add bend point on the cable . This bend point can be moved to adjust cable's shape .

Bend point

Add arrows next to bend points. Add radius or fillet.

Double clicking on a bend point allows to select several options. Arrow to the left of the bend point , arrow to the right of bend point , arrow on both sides of bend point or no arrows . Also the bend radius or fillet can be selected individually for each bend point or for all of them .

Rectangle

Add/Edit Text

Add or edit text associated with the rectangle  . Shortcut "T" while dimension object is selected.

Ellipse

Add/Edit Text

Add or edit text associated with the Ellipse  . Shortcut "T" while ellipse object is selected.

Dimension

Format Dim

Brings up dialog box to format dimension tool. Shortcut "B" while dimension object is selected.

Page

Page Setup

Brings up dialog box for Page Setup . Shortcut "P"

Snap Point

Add/Edit Snap points

Set or edit snap points settings . Works in Project and Library mode.

Symbol

Edit Symbol Properties

Modify default symbols properties that were entered during library creation. . Shortcut "B" while dimension object is selected.

Origin Symbol

Move grid

When Origin symbol is double clicked it changes to . Now the origin symbol can be moved and the grid will move with it. Double click again to lock it and to return to regular Origin.

Single Click

Line

Select Line

Allows to move each end of the line and also whole line. The green handles show that line is selected.

Cable

Select Cable

Allows to move each end of the cable and also whole cable. The green handles show that cable is selected.

Status Bar

Edit properties

The status bar is used to adjust many properties of objects and symbols. Clicking on the status bar

modifies currently selected objects or default settings for objects if no objects are selected.

Color Bar Select Color Clicking on the color bars allows to set line, text or fill colors.

Display the context menu in design or library mode.

Also colors and transparency can be adjusted by scrolling mouse wheel.

Scroll Push Design Window Mouse scroll button allows to pan drawing on the Design and Library mode.



1.3. Status bar shortcuts
 

Status bar displays various information about current state of the program and allows to set many default and current settings on selected objects:

Design and Library Mode status bar:


Section

Name

Description

X position

Displays current X (horizontal) position of the mouse cursor relative to the originobject. Origin can be moved to any position on the page and the distance is measured relative to the position of the origin. Default position of origin is in top left corner.

Y position

Displays current Y (vertical) position of the mouse cursor relative to the the originobject. Origin can be moved to any position on the page and the distance is measured relative to the position of origin. Default position origin is in top left corner.

Grid/Line size

Displays and sets the current grid/line size of active page.  The change can be done using shortcut "1", clicking on the display area , using mouse wheel or adjusting it on the Page Setup form using shortcut "P".  To make lines visible and to enable the grid, use shortcut "G" or click on the toolbar icon .

Line style

Displays and sets the current line/cable style for selected object or default line/cable style if no objects are selected. Toggle through line/cable styles using shortcut "2" or  scroll through options using mouse wheel. This shortcut will toggle through five line/cable styles. Solid    Dash   Dot   Dash-Dot Dash-Dot-Dot . This shortcut also sets the default line and cable style if objects are not selected when this shortcut is used. Line style setting also affects rectangle, arc and ellipse outline style.

Line color

Displays and sets the current line/cable color for selected objects or default line/cable color if no objects are selected. Toggle through line/cable colors using shortcut "3" or  scroll through options using mouse wheel. This shortcut toggles through six different colors. Black Red Green Blue Violet Yellow . This shortcut also sets the default line and cable color if objects are not selected when this shortcut is used. Additional colors can be selected using shortcut "B" and setting line and  cable properties. Line color setting also affects rectangle, arc and ellipse outline color.

Line width

Displays and sets the current line/cable width for selected object or default line/cable width if no objects are selected. Toggle through line/cable width using shortcut "4" or  scroll through options using mouse wheel. This shortcut toggles through five different widths. 1pt 2pt 3pt 4pt   5pt . This shortcut also sets the default line and cable width if line or cable is not selected when this shortcut is used.  Additional line and cable width can be selected using shortcut "B" and setting line and  cable properties.

Object fill color

Displays and sets the current fill color for selected object or default fill color if no objects are selected. Toggle through Object fill colors using shortcut "5" or  scroll through options using mouse wheel. This shortcut toggles through six different fill colors for rectangle, arc, cable and ellipse objects. Black Red Green Blue Violet Yellow and Transparent. This shortcut also sets the default object fill color if rectangle, arc, cable or ellipse is not selected when this shortcut is used. Additional colors can be selected using shortcut "B" and setting object properties.

Rotate interval

Displays the sets the current rotate interval for objects. Toggle through rotate interval using shortcut "6" or  scroll through options using mouse wheel. This shortcut toggles through seven different object rotate intervals 1, 5, 10, 15, 30, 45, 90. The "Space Bar" shortcut is used to rotate selected objects clockwise "Shift Space Bar" rotates selected objects counter clockwise. Additional rotate intervals can be selected using shortcut "P" and setting Page properties. When 0 degrees rotate interval is selected, rotate shortcuts are disabled.

Corner rounding value

Displays and sets the current value of corner rounding for selected object or default value of corner rounding if objects are not selected. Toggle through round corners values. This shortcut toggles through four different rectangle round corner settings using shortcut "7" or  scroll through options using mouse wheel. 0%  5%  10% 15%  are for rectangle. Additional values for round corners can be selected using shortcut "B" and setting object properties. When objects are not selected, the default value is set for rectangle object.

Lock/unlock state

Displays and sets the current lock/unlock state of selected object. The status bar displays lock status of each object if object or group of objects are locked or unlocked . When object is unlocked the handles around the object are green when it is locked they turn gray. When object is locked you can not move or rotate.

Include/exclude symbol

Displays and sets if selected symbol or cable is included in materials list or cable list. This shortcut is used to include or exclude selected symbols or cables from the materials list or cable list. This function can be set from the Symbol Property screen by double clicking on the selected symbol. Use "M" shortcut to display list of materials on the current page or on all pages.

Page Link

Displays the page link for selected object, you can click on this section or use "W" key to jump to the  linked page.

Library View filter

Displays the current library view filter (the type of symbols that AVSnap shows in library pane), you can click on this section or use "\" key to toggle through the library view filter .

Communication Mode with RS-232 status bar:

 



Activity Status

Shows if terminal is connect or disconnected from the controller. Use connect button on the status bar to change this status.

RS-232 Port

Displays current port in use. This can be changed in Com Setup window.

Baud Rate

Displays current communication speed through RS-232 port.

Bytes Received

Displays number of bytes received through RS-232 port

Bytes Sent

Displays number of bytes sent  through RS-232 port

  Bytes Selected Displays number of bytes selected in the Notepad window

  Bytes Selected Displays number of bytes selected in the Notepad window
