4. Modes of Operation

4.1. Project Mode

This is Project mode when you are editing a project file (".amt" file). In this mode the main window has one or more pages and one or more libraries iopen.

In Project mode the title bar of the main window displays software version number, file name of the project and "Project Mode" text.


4.2. Library mode

This is library editing mode when you are editing a library file (".alb" file). In this mode main window has only one page for displaying selected symbol, symbol properties tab and one library in edit mode:

In library mode the title bar of main window displays file name of the library and "Library Mode" text.


4.3. Presentation mode

In this mode opened project is started as the presentation. For more details see "Presentation Mode" chapter.


4.4. Read Only mode

In this mode you can not modify opened project or library, the title bar of main window displays file name of the project or library and "Read Only" text.

To Unlock project and continue to work with it use menu under File menu or press shortcut "U" and enter correct password.

Keep in mind that this will allow you to use and modify the project but will not remove the password. The next time you open this project you will still need to enter password. To remove password completely unlock the project and then use function to change password. Enter Old password and leave New password empty, then save the file. The file now will be unlocked. It is recommended that you do not lock your master file but use function to create duplicate file which is password protected.

4.5 Communication Mode

This mode allows user to control and communicate with AV equipment using terminal type interface. User can send and receive data by typing it into Terminal window or by typing it into Notepad window and using F3 shortcut to send it to the Terminal window.

4.6 Control Mode

Control Mode is entered by selecting page size in pixels. In this mode all other functions are operational but in addition the new tools are available for designing user interface.

These tools can be used to create buttons, progress bar, slider or any other combination of controls. Shortcut F9 is used to switch into Control Run mode.

4.7 Control Run Mode

In this mode the user interface is used to control AV equipment and provide user with the status feedback. The user interface can be modified and programming can be added to do any custom functions. Buttons can be labeled and Bitmaps can be used to improve appearance.

4.8 Flow Chart Mode

Flow chart mode is entered by selecting any Rectangle or Ellipse object and pressing shortcut "S". Once in this mode Cable object can be used to connect various blocks together and create a Flow chart. Once Objects are connected, they will stay connected even if they are moved around.
