5. Password protection

5.1. Protect Projects

Password protection of project files allows to protect projects from any changes. Protected project are opened in read-only mode until a valid password is entered. To set password protection select "File" menu and then choose item:

In the "New password" and "Confirm password" fields type the password and press "OK" and then save the project. That is all, now the project is under password protection.


5.1.1. Enter password

To unlock a project, open protected project, then select "File->Unlock project" menu, password prompt dialog will be shown. Also shortcut "U" can be used to enter the Password.

Type in the password and press "OK", now the project is unlocked and editable..


5.1.2. Remove password from file

To unprotect a file open it in edit mode (select "File/Unlock project" and enter the password), then select "File/Set Password" imenu, in the password dialog in "Old Password" field type the password that you typed before and press "OK" (the "New password" field must be empty).


5.2. Protection with expiration date

You can to set expiration date, after this date protected file will be impossible to open even in read-only mode. To set expiration date select "File/Set password" item of main menu and in appeared dialog set "Set expiration date" check mark:

5.2.1. Set Date to Expire

When "Set expiration date" check mark is selected you can set expiration date:

5.2.2. Set number of days to expire

You can select number of days to expire instead of date to expire: select "Days" and type number of days to expire.


5.2.3. Enter name and phone number

After the expiration date it will be impossible to open protected project without knowing password. The following dialog will be shown after expiration date.

You can set contact name and phone number in password dialog by filling "Name" and "Phone" fields.


5.3. Protecting Libraries

Any library can be protected the same way as projects.
